Naming & Verbal Identity
The name “The Homies” was carefully chosen to reflect warmth, friendliness, and a sense of community. The term “homie” originates from American slang, derived from “homeboy” or “homegirl,” meaning a close friend. It instantly evokes a feeling of familiarity and connection. This choice enhances the brand’s identity by highlighting authenticity and hospitality while embracing the cultural richness of American culture. Through “The Homies,” we aim for visitors to feel like part of a big family.
Logotype
The logo designed for “The Homies” is primarily a wordmark using a modern serif typeface. It is enclosed by a set of symbols featuring a capital letter “H” with two stars, nodding to American culture, and a secondary symbol representing a fist bump, a gesture of greeting among friends. Overall, we have a responsive logo system that complements each other and is used equally in a 360-degree approach.
Visual Language
For the visual identity of “The Homies,” four colors were strategically chosen: red and black as primary colors to convey boldness and strength, and white and teal as secondary colors to add balance and freshness. Various supporting elements were designed to enhance the brand’s visual appeal. The core visual identity is closely integrated with the verbal identity and brand messages, ensuring a cohesive and impactful brand presence.
